Though the next days/weeks/months/YEARS will be difficult for Megan's family, we are all here for them and they're in our prayers and God knows that they're having a difficult time right now, and he thankfully has promised that he'll NEVER give us trials we can't overcome AND that he'll never leave us alone.
These verses have brought me much comfort the past 5 days.
- Doctrine and Covenants 121:7-9
7. My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment.
8. And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all they foes.
9. Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands.
- Doctrine and Covenants 24:8
8. Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even until the end of thy days.
- Alma 40:11-12
11. Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection--Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life.
12. And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow.

Such beautiful words. I sincerely appreciate your thoughts. It was very hard for me today, I wanted so badly to be with everyone there. Times like these make living so far away difficult for me. But, I have to tell you, your words just brought me tremendous comfort. I could feel the Holy Ghost bearing witness of all that you wrote. Thank you Aubrey for bringing peace to my heart this day! Love and miss you dearly!!
I'm so proud of you Aubrey. You have been such an example to our seminary class. I'm grateful that you bear witness the truths you know and tesify of the Holy Ghost and our Savior. It was a beautiful tribute today and I felt the Spirit testify of the same things that you felt. We will miss her but we will have her with us always.

My First Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees round the world below,
With tiny lights, like heaven’s stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular. Please wipe away your tear,
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,
But the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description to here the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away… we’re really not apart.
So be happy for my loved ones, you know I hold you dear.
Be glad I’m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my own undying love.
After all, love is the gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as our father said to do.
For I can’t count the blessings or the love he has for each of you.
So have a merry Christmas and wipe away your tears.
Remember I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Aubrey, You never cease to impress me. You are growing into such a fine young woman. Such maturity and wisdom for your age. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I needed to hear them as well. I also felt the Spirit bear witness to me of what you wrote. I am grateful that you were able to receive the peace you needed. Heavenly Father knows us and our needs. You are a cherished child of his. How blessed is your family to have you in their home. Love
Kathy
Oh btw that print is one of my favorites. The little boy in the picture reminds me of my son Michael when he was young.
